MOOG Subsequent 37-CV

Overview

With only 2,000 units produced, Moog’s special edition Subsequent 37 CV is sure to become a future collector’s item. Although identical in design to the popular Sub 37 there is a lot more going under the hood than just a fancy sleek silver face plate. It has an upgraded multi-drive circuit, mixer, headphone amp, keybed and as the name suggests now has CV and Gate connectivity for use with external modular systems.

At its core the Subsequent 37 CV is a paraphonic analog synthesizer with the sound quality and features you would expect from Moog. Getting started on this synthesizer is easy with over 256 stock presets ranging from bass, lead, keys, pads, percussion and effects all categorised and easily accessible. On the other hand, if browsing through presets is not your thing than the 40 parameter knobs and 74 switches including a step sequencer and arpeggiator makes this synthesizer great for creating and saving patches on the fly. In the studio the Subsequent 37 CV is great at processing external audio signals through its audio input and with MIDI connectivity the whole unit can be controlled and automated from your DAW using MIDI CC messages or its own software editor. With so many other features it's hard to cover them all, its best you try this monster of a synthesizer for yourself!
