COVID-19 trashed my gig

There isn’t a single musician, music service provider, or music lover that hasn’t been trashed by COVID-19 in the year 2020.

Until our incredible scientists find a treatment or vaccine that can completely knock this hungry critter into oblivion I have sadly had to put Everywhere Roadie on hold.

I hope 2021 is a better year for the music community.

Thanks for all your support.

Rock ‘n’ roll history for hire, with all proceeds to be donated to Support Act.

Today we added a piece of Australian rock history to the collection. This Ampeg fridge was originally owned and used by Dean Turner, co-founder and bassist of Magic Dirt, who passed away in August 2009 after a long and courageous battle with an extremely rare form of soft tissue cancer called DFSP. Dean was deeply passionate and devoted to music, selflessly championing and supporting young bands and inspiring an endless list of musicians. This cabinet appeared on many of Magic Dirt’s studio albums and was the live show workhorse on countless national tours and festivals. In addition to its solidness, reliability and beautiful rich tone, this classic SVT 810 is THE high-performance bass speaker cabinet and delivers all the power and thunder you need. Cosmetic wear and tear from all the years on the road (as shown in image) – speakers have just been re-coned.

We will be donating 100% of the hire fee from this cabinet to Support Act, an Australian charity that helps artists and music workers who are facing hardship due to illness, injury or some other crisis that impacts on their ability to work in music

We support Support Act

Everywhere Roadie to donate 30% of profits to help the important work of Support Act.

Support Act is a charity, unique in Australia, helping artists and music workers who are facing hardship due to illness, injury or some other crisis that impacts on their ability to work in music. They help by providing different kinds of support, which include financial relief, advice, and practical assistance. They also contribute to funeral costs. They help music workers of all kinds: artists, songwriters, composers, musicians, roadies, techies, managers, staffers and others. They treat every request for help confidentially and make no judgement about people’s circumstances. To find out more about their work and how to support it please visit supportact.org.au If you know anyone who may need their help, please let them know or pass on their number: 1300 731 303.

The Everywhere Roadie team have personally stayed at this hostel whilst on tour, and we give it an A++ rating. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and as an added bonus, they love musicians. It’s also spotlessly clean and in a quiet but centrally located part of town.
